Pain is a universal phenomenon that health professionals across all disciplines encounter in individuals at all ages, in all health care settings, and across all situations. The University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain plays an important role in linking researchers and clinicians through education. The Centre’s vision and mission is to be a key academic voice and a leader, both nationally and internationally, in pain research and education, and to create and disseminate knowledge on pain and inform clinical excellence through interdisciplinary collaboration of the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.

**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Co-directors of the Centre for the Study of Pain, the CSP Program Coordinator plays an integral role in developing and supporting educational programs related to pain, academic events, and Centre operations and administration. The CSP Program Coordinator provides ongoing support and direction to UTCSP members in coordinating and delivering academic events and activities, and provides administrative support to the UTCSP Committees and operations of the Centre.

The Program Coordinator plays an important academic leadership role that is critical to CSP program sustainability and student success. As the program champion, the Coordinator facilitates key academic and operational processes, working collaboratively with the CSP Co-Directors, Academic Leads, Deans, stakeholders, faculty and support areas. The Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, delivery and operation of the academic program(s) of the CSP and ensure the content, quality, and effectiveness of the educational programs and events. This role is tasked with gathering relevant curricular and academic data to optimally schedule activities across the Centre and build programs and schedules for inter-professional education and activities. This role is responsible for capturing all relevant data points for the Centre by supporting the UTCSP committees.

The CSP Program Coordinator plays a critical role in the operations of the Centre, being responsible for the minor expense tracking, financial reporting and providing administrative support to the Co-directors.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Coordinating program schedules with stakeholders, and curriculum development and delivery for the Interfaculty Pain Curriculum
- Organizing, summarizing and circulating program and/orcourse evaluations
- Determining work priorities based on knowledge of deadlines
- Writing and editing reports to support initiatives
- Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
- Editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbooks
- Determining logístical details and activities for events and/or programming, such as coordinate/ support the administrative and operational organization of CSP events (annual scientific meeting)

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of relevant program coordination experience.
- Experience planning and developing academic programming, events and activities.
- Experience providing administrative and communications support specifically related to academic institutions.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet and database/online registration systems, website content updating/maintenance.
- Advanced skills with online education platforms or online education delivery.
- Advanced and accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with regards to event planning and registration, and calendar management.
- Detail oriented and impeccable listening skills to ensure relevant information is captured.
- Negotiation and liaising skills to be able to facilitate coordination across stakeholders
- Demonstrated time-management skills with the ability toeffectively prioritize, multi-task, organize work, and meet tight deadlines while able to pay attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to probe for information and provide solution-focused outcomes.

**Assets (Nonessential)**:

- Experience working in an inter-disciplinary team is preferred.
- Experience working with Quercus online education is preferred.
- Experience with Pain treatment education is preferred
