The **Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario** is committed to improving services and support for individuals living with mental illnesses and addictions issues, and to the promotion of mental health in Ontario.

CMHA Ontario in partnership with Colleges Ontario, the Council of Ontario Universities, the College Student Alliance, and the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance created the **Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health** (CICMH) that is a provincial hub supporting new and existing initiatives that address the mental health needs of post-secondary students.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a **Knowledge & Research Lead**. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer and Director of CICMH, this position works with post-secondary institutions and community organizations to enhance their capacity to support student mental health and wellness. A key piece of work involves creating new knowledge tools (toolkits, webinars, trainings) to support gaps in campus mental health, as well as creating and facilitating knowledge management and research best practices for campus mental health that support and advance the goals and objectives of CICMH partnership.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- To engage and support Ontario post-secondary institutions in their commitment to post-secondary students’ and staffs’ mental health and well-being.
- Draw on existing bodies of knowledge or evidence from research and other sources, and works with key stakeholders to provide tailored, evidence-informed guidance and practical tools to facilitate desired changes in practice, programs, or policies.
- Analyze mental health initiatives and frameworks by reviewing relevant literature, conducting interviews, collecting, and analyzing statistical data, and sharing knowledge with post-secondary stakeholders on current issues.
- Develop and compile evidence-based resources for online and offline knowledge management purposes (training sessions, toolkits, information sheets, webinars).
- Prepare and facilitate knowledge exchange programs, including online courses, videos.
- Develop curriculum and deliver presentations at regional forums, conferences, workshops, and symposia.
- Build partnerships with other academic, clinical, and community researchers to enhance CICMH’s information base.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement proposals, business cases, and project charters.
- Develop and maintain updated work plans, facilitating regularly scheduled project meetings, managing budgets as required and managing project timelines.
- Lead special projects and initiatives including defining the issues, developing a proposal, carrying out research and analysis, and developing options and recommendations for implementation.
- Facilitate and support campuses implementing the National Standard Z2003-20 (Mental health and well-being for post-secondary students).
- Maintain knowledge of current national and international best and emerging practices in post-secondary student mental health research and evaluation.
- Support evaluations and assessments of mental health projects across the province through the creation of toolkits and resources.
- Maintain, update, and manage relevant sections of CICMH’s website.
- Respond to internal and external research information requests including literature reviews.
- Prepare reports, documents, and publications for internal and external audiences.
- Assist in developing and reorganizing online platforms.
- Outreach to community partners and campus mental health projects across the province
- Create and facilitate curriculum delivered to varied campus stakeholders, including Campus Mental Health Works training.
- Support the work of CMHA Ontario in the realm of mental health and wellbeing as needed.
- This role works collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and requires a strong sense of teamwork across the CMHA organization.

**Skills & Experience**:

- University degree in psychology, sociology, health-related research, or a related field required.
- 5-7 years of experience with knowledge management, psychoeducation, or research analysis.
- Experience with knowledge mobilization, including webinars, online resource libraries, and developing emerging and best practices content.
- Knowledge of campus mental health an asset.
- Superior organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal; fluency in French an asset.
- Strong research analysis, writing, and editing skills.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Ability to synthesize information for varied audiences.
