**About you**

Are you passionate about education and training events? This is an opportunity to join a fantastic team as a Program Administrative Assistant at the head office for the Roofing Contractors Association of BC in Langley. You have missed working face to face with colleagues and are looking for a support role that is in office full time.

You are a registration wizard that handles event coordination, registration and the administrative side with ease. Your attention to detail makes events run smoothly and your time management, excellent communication skills along with IT skills ensures that registrants feel confident about their education and training. You like to support people and part of your daily remit will be working with the Director, Education & Training to ensure the department runs smoothly and education classes are on time, on budget and well attended. As a social person, you have the opportunity to manage the social media accounts - creating a posting schedule and drive the content.

**What we offer**

**Administrative**
- Administrative tasks to prepare for educational cohorts - data entry, purchase orders and other documents
- Administrative or support tasks delegated by Director, Education and Training
- Proofreading and editing the RCABC quarterly magazine and other materials as requested
- Monitoring and ordering supplies for education department
- Preparing and presenting PowerPoint presentations for each apprentice classes

**Event Coordination**
- Scheduling apprentice and safety classes
- Organizing travel arrangements, room rentals, catering
- Communicating with apprentices, sponsors and other companies regarding upcoming events
- Managing attendee lists and entering information in the CRM system
- Preparation and distribution of safety training cards
- Coordinating photos and framing of graduating classes
- Ordering awards and plaques for apprentice recognition program
- Coordinating lunch events and end of class awards
- Maintaining promotional and recognition inventory and placing orders for items as required
- Assisting with organizing professional development and other educational workshops, seminars, and meetings

**Social Media**
- Photography for use on various social media platforms and other marketing materials
- Creating a content schedule, curating content and posting regularly to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter
- Liasing with social media consultant on additional campaign posts and articles

**Apprentice Support**
- Receiving payment for branded merchandise and maintaining supply
- Purchasing snacks for apprenticeship programs
- Requisition and distribution of bursary cheques

**What you bring**:

- Experience working in a demanding, fast paced environment
- Experience in event registration and coordination
- Data entry experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to think critically and be self-motivated
- Able to take direction, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and comfortable with a changing work environment
