**About ACSS - What is a community school?**

It is a designated school facility that is open beyond the traditional school schedule to offer a variety of community learning and recreational opportunities to people of all ages. Community schools are multi-service facilities working in partnership with other community agencies, organizations and individuals to improve the quality of life in the community. Our Community school will be running classes out of schools in Abbotsford and are such as but not limited to, Abbotsford Senior Secondary School, Abbotsford Middle School, Eugene Reimer Middle School, Chief Dan George Middle School, Dormick Park Elementary, Alexander Elementary School, Matsqui Elementary, Ross Elementary, Godson Elementary, Prince Charles Elementary, Clearbrook Elementary, Ten-Broeck Elementary, Terry Fox Elementary, Centennial Park Elementary, Harry Sayers Elementary, Dave Kandal Elementary and Auguston Elementary, and Aberdeen Elementary.

**What is our goal?**

To enrich the lives of the people in our community by offering a wide range of cultural, recreational, and educational programs and opportunities. Applicants will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check. Current First Aid is an asset. Compensation is based on experience. Compensation for successful applicants starts at $18.00 per hour for this position.

**Responsibilities**
- Build and disassemble program binders before/after each program season
- Print program forms (e.g.: attendance, medical forms, alt. pick up) and update information when necessary
- Keep in good correspondence with office staff, ACSS Instructors, Parents, SD34 Staff, Community Partners and the public when necessary
- Create Program/Camp flyers and any extra marketing needed for programs, camps and events including creating slideshows
- Contact ACSS Instructors each season regarding staff availability and update the availability schedule accordingly
- Collect and organize program and event photos
- Organize name tags and ACSS apparel for new employees
- Run and update the office calendar with events, early dismissals, Pro-D Days, and Statutory holidays
- Print and organize interview questions for job interviews, and provide resume copies for reference
- Create new Amilia activities for programs/camps/events each season
- Provide front-line customer support for our organization supporting clients by phone, online, or in person, providing them with program/camp/event information and assisting with registration process or other related needs
- Be a strong team member and work collaboratively with Program Coordinators and Executive Director on various projects
- Provide administrative support for the Program Coordinators and Executive Director when needed
- Complete word processing tasks and general documentation, including recording minutes during weekly meetings
- Collecting and organizing program supplies as needed
- Supporting office functions such as photocopying, printing, and related tasks

**Requirements**:

- Be able to work from Monday to Thursday, from 10am to 2pm
- Have excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Canva, graphic design platform
- Knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Have a reliable source of transportation
- First-Aid & CPR Certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of Amilia, our Registration System (preferred)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
