| About the role
The Payment Analyst position is primarily responsible for Member engagement and system roadmap execution for Payment File Validation Service (PFVS), Message Validation Service (MVS), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and the Lynx API Working Group.
This is a temporary position for a 16 Month Term.
| What you’ll do
- Participate in subscriber, vendor and inter-departmental relationship management activities - assist with meeting schedules and agenda development, participate in calls/meetings, prepare/distribute meeting notes, and perform assigned action items;
- Coordinate and execute day-to-day operational activities; document processes and workflows and maintain activity records for audit trail purposes;
- Support the Lead, ISO Payments Validation Service in business development and promotion of the PFVS to new clients and of deepening usage of PFVS by existing clients;
- Support the representation of the PFVS in Payments Canada at industry forums;
- Participate in cross-functional projects and annual initiatives (e.g. annual Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises);
- Research and respond to subscriber inquiries, and assist in investigation and resolution;
- Monitor service delivery, quality and use, measure and report against KPIs;
- Define, coordinate, and execute on the testing activities through documented test strategies and plans, and subsequently monitor the acceptance testing activities;
- Monitor evolving customer business needs in order to propose solutions and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Draft and maintain internal and customer-facing system documentation, such as operational manuals and user guides;
- Provide on-call support on a rotational basis, ensure timely and accurate follow-up and reporting.
|Minimum Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in product management, business analysis, and quality assurance related activities;
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, vendors and business partners;
- Experience in, or understanding of project management and service delivery principles;
- Ability to work outside of regular working hours based on operational requirements.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation;
- Occasional travel within Canada may be required;
- Government of Canada Level II Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
|Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services (particularly in a customer-facing role) is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment messages and payment file formats is considered an asset;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
| Salary Range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $78,031 and $97,539
