**Your Opportunity**:
This is an exciting clinical leadership opportunity within Edmonton Zone, Allied Health Community supporting the Pediatric Community Rehabilitation (PCR) Team. Reporting to the Manager, the SLP Team Lead: Supports staff in providing high quality, evidence-informed practice in alignment with organizational vision, mission and values. Models and encourages communication and decision-making approaches that facilitate effective teamwork and collaborative practice, and conflict resolution is responsible for mentoring and responding to clinical questions and coordinating ongoing skill development to facilitate delivery of effective clinical services to children, youth, and families age 0-18. Maintains a component of clinical service provision and consults on complex care scenarios. Collaborates with the SLP professional practice lead (PPL) to implement supported and leading practices and participants in zone and provincial initiatives. Coordinates the day-to-day planning, delivery, and evaluation of services for the assigned area. Daily coordination may include but not be limited to orientation, waitlist management, workload/utilization, system training, resource management and student placements. Advises the manager in operational decision-making and assists in responding to trends, issues and opportunities to meet population need. Coordinates professional development and provides input regarding staff and team performance. Works with the PCR managers and other team leaders to identify opportunities for improving clinical, team and program processes and practices. Implement quality improvement initiatives within the program. Develops and maintains strong partnerships with internal/external partners to achieve client and program goals.

**Description**:
As a Speech Language Pathologist Team Lead, you will be responsible to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team where you will be an integral leader to other healthcare professionals (Speech Language Pathologists, Assistants). You will facilitate the development and on-going monitoring of clinical standards of practice for speech language pathology and patient (client, resident) care protocols in the department and geographical area. In collaboration with management, you will support the development, implementation and evaluation of the department's operational plan strategies.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
BLS Health Provider certification.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience in a Pediatric Speech Language Pathology service delivery setting. Strong organization and time management skills. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development, as well as demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, coach and/or facilitate practice growth in others.
