- Reporting to the Manager, Training and Logistical Support, the incumbent is primarily responsible for the delivery and evaluation of training programs to train, educate and/or certify Transit Enforcement Officers, Transit Fare Inspectors, Protective Services Guards, Security Attendants, other TTC employee groups, Police and members of the Department of National Defence in accordance with Canadian law, the Commission’s Special Constable contract with the Toronto Police Service Board and the Department’s Code of Conduct to support all aspects of security operations. The incumbent will participate in the co-ordination and development of new training programs and departmental (Corporate) standards (e.g. policies, procedures, rules, routine orders, etc.) and/or review, update or revise existing training programs and standards. Also, assists with the co-ordination of vehicle fleet maintenance and provides operational support to enhance and maintain Special Constable Status and the Transit Enforcement Officer program.You will participate in the co-ordination, and development of new training programs, activities and departmental (Corporate) standards (e.g. policies, procedures, rules, routine orders, etc.) and/or maintenance of existing training programs and standards to ensure program objectives are met and/or deficiencies are corrected. This involves: conducting research including needs analysis, data collection, external/internal surveys, reviewing policies, procedures, work methods, safe practices, technical/operation manuals, vendor information, legislation and regulatory requirements, and identifying constraints related to the work and facilitating workshops and focus groups, conducting interviews and reviewing group meetings-
In addition to the above, you will be responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (within the area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service-provider and an employer and perform related duties as assigned.**What Skills You Bring**:

- Must have a community college diploma or certification in the field of Law Enforcement, or the equivalent, combined with several years’ of related experience in a law enforcement/security and training environment.
- Must have or be able to obtain a community college certificate in Adult Education or the applicable law enforcement training certifications.
- Strong working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act, Liquor Licence Act, Mental Health Act, Criminal Code of Canada, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and other municipal, provincial and federal statutes related to the work;
- Sound knowledge of, and the ability to apply, assess, adult education and instructional principles, program design, research methods, development methodologies, testing and evaluation techniques;
- Ability to effectively deliver a comprehensive range of training programs to diverse groups in classroom and at actual work situations, to large and small groups, and on a one-on-one basis;
- Ability to read, interpret, comprehend and explain complex concepts, technical information, operating procedures, etc.;
