**Position Title**: Manager Investigations, Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion

**Status**:FT Admin

**Hours**: 37.5hrs/wk

**Faculty/Department**: Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion

**Campus/Location**: On-campus, North Campus

**Salary**: Payband 6 Hiring Range ($90,341.00 - 125,000.00)

**What you will do**:
The Manager Investigations, Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion will foster equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging within the College’s learning, working and living environments by using an integrative trauma informed and an anti-discrimination approach.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
**Human Rights Complaints & Investigations**
- Oversee the investigation plan and processes as submitted by Advisors, Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion
- Evaluate the investigations presented by the Advisors and determine the results of the investigations
- Conduct high risk human rights investigations, early interventions, and mediation
- Complete response to Complaints from the HRTO and submit to Humber’s external Human Rights Counsel
- Develop policies and guidelines on matters related to the portfolio; ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and Humber’s policies and procedures
- Provide a report/s including data related to complaints management.
- Conduct workplace assessments and support restoration processes.

**Manage Employment Equity Program**
- Administer and manage Humber’s Employment Equity Program
- Provide support to Organizational Effectiveness and other divisions to promote Humber’s EDI brand to attract talent and identify priorities and opportunities to build a more diverse workforce.
- Provide support Organizational Effectiveness by researching, developing and implementing best-in-class programs, tools, training and initiatives to support recruitment efforts to reflect a diverse workforce at Humber College.
- Support Organizational Effectiveness in the alignment of equity and diversity in recruitment initiatives with the current and emerging needs of the College.

**Supervisory Responsibility**
- Provide leadership and support to the Advisors, Human Rights, Equity Inclusion
- Provide ongoing feedback and conduct annual performance reviews of Advisors

**Other Related Duties**
- Work alongside the Director to develop and implement Humber’s EDI strategic framework
- Participate in policy development and review.
- Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Centres outreach initiatives, communication strategies, promotional materials, educational programming and training
- With approval from the Director Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion participate in internal and external committees

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in the Social Sciences
- Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate
- Conflict Management Certificate
- Investigation certification or equivalent

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years experience managing in a similar capacity
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code, the AODA, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Employment Equity Act, Antiracist Act, and other relevant human rights legislation and Humber’s Human Rights policies.
- Understanding of legislative requirements and concerns in the postsecondary sector
- Understanding of human rights policies and practices, mediation and investigation techniques
- Critical human rights and equity analysis within an intersectional framework
- Effective verbal communication and strong presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Legislation related analytical skills
