**Communications Coordinator**

**Position Purpose**

The Communications Coordinator, reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, will be accountable for various duties, including developing, implementing, and evaluating communication plans. This role will leverage your outstanding organizational, communications, and collaboration skills, enhanced by your evidence-based research and project management skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Write and edit engaging copy for various communication channels, including website, digital advertising, social media, traditional media, and more.
- Support the development of communications tools (both online and offline), key messages and media/public relations plans and/or activities.
- Use and leverage emerging digital technologies and social media platforms to enhance ACSA's online presence.
- Engage in media relations, preparing materials to effectively communicate ACSA's initiatives and achievements.
- Measure and evaluate communication strategies and tactics and share results, recommendations, and lessons learned with internal clients.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- ** Education**:Post-secondary diploma and/or bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related field. A suitable combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
- ** Experience**:2+ years of related experience. Experience in a business setting is considered an asset.
- ** Required Skills and Abilities**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital communication platforms.
- Experience developing, executing, and evaluating successful communication plans and campaigns.
- Experience in writing and editing for digital and traditional platforms in ways that resonate with audiences.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

**Logistics**
- This position is based on a 40-hour work week, a hybrid work model (ACSA facility, home office) and out of our Edmonton office.
- This position requires some travel, evening, and weekend work based on business events such as conferences and workshops.
