Home Healthcare Specialist

**Why this role is important?**
**SUMMARY**:
- The Home Healthcare Specialist is responsible for maintaining the overall Home Healthcare department.
- Works with other team members to achieve department objectives while embracing all Shoppers Drug Mart policies, procedures and standards.
**DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Develop and maintain business relationships with multiple clinics within the hospital including (but not limited too) orthopedics, vascular, physiotherapy and plastics.
- Bracing and support products
- Mobility aids (walkers, canes, crutches etc)
- Compression garments (hosiery, post-surgical bras etc)
- Medical Supplies (wound care, ostomy, enteral nutrition etc)
- Ensures products are in stock at all times, through proactive inventory planning, and utilization of best practices and established processes.
- Inventory control, ordering, price changes, damages and returns
**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**:
- Experience in a health care setting with knowledge of bracing, mobility aids and medical supplies.
- Previous retail experience (including responsibility for purchasing, Loss Prevention, as well as inventory control) is an asset
