**Overview**
Pro Pacific Hazmat (the “Company”) is one of Vancouver Islands leading hazardous materials abatement contractors. We are currently hiring for a Project Coordinator (PC) who, as a member of the project leadership team, is highly accountable, energized and motivated. Working collaboratively as part of our project team your role will be to ensure the effective coordination of project and operations requirements.

Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, The PC function will promote a seamless flow of information between the project managers/estimators, operations staff, sub-trades, vendors and clients.

**Responsibilities**
- Effectively and accurately organizing, maintaining and communicating relevant project information.
- In conjunction with the relevant PM/estimator, prepare and submit tender documentation.
- In conjunction with the relevant PM/estimator, create project schedules and carry out subsequent resource scheduling activities.
- Coordination of insurance, bonding, WorkSafe clearances, NOPs, etc.
- Receipt, issuance and management of RFI/RFP.
- Coordination of project site and safety binders.
- Carrying out the duties of Company Security Officer.
- Acting as the focal point for the Company’s project management and estimating software.
- Acting as the lead for the procurement and delivery of project supplies, shop supplies and asset maintenance activities.
- Work with the relevant project team members to maintain billing, scope, materials, and other project objectives.
- Support subcontract management for processing of invoices and progress billing.
- In conjunction with the project team, support the generation and coordination of change orders and submit all data received for project team review and approval.
- Prepare project closeout documents by collecting warranties, clearances, and equipment records as applicable
- Performing general administrative & record keeping functions for project data (project correspondence, meeting minutes, field reports, shop drawings, specifications, submittals, RFI/RFP, site instructions, change orders, etc.).
- Providing relevant administrative support to management and project team members where necessary.

**Experience**
- Thorough understanding of the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of the principles of project management.
- Familiarity with standard construction contracts.
- Computer literacy in MS Office and generic construction project management software.
- Highly motivated with excellent self management.
- Excellent team player, but with the independence to act authoritatively on your own.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Good time management.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal) at all levels.
- High level of integrity, loyalty, honesty and confidentiality

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
