**Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood Centre** (DPNCHC) is a multi-service organization that provides a wide variety of health and community programs and services for a diverse community. The Community Health Centre, one of the many programs of DPNCHC, provides holistic health care using a multi-disciplinary team approach. The Director will lead all aspects of primary health activities and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of primary health care and associated services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Champion and provide leadership to our Health Services program, ensuring it meets the unique needs of the community, including perspectives of Black communities.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives within the health centre, focusing on equitable healthcare access and outcomes for all.
- Coordinate robust quality assurance measures, ensuring culturally sensitive and inclusive protocols and policies are in place.
- Manages primary care team, fostering an environment of inclusivity, staff development and equitable performance evaluations.
- Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of health services to address the specific needs of the community.
- Effectively manage the Health Centre budget.
- Seek and secure program funding, while ensuring transparency, accountability and reporting mechanisms that address the unique challenges faced by Black health initiatives.
- Prepares comprehensive reports for staff and Board, highlighting the impact of our programs on health outcomes.
- Participates in overall management of the organization, taking the lead on specific corporate responsibilities as required.
- Liaises with community partner agencies, ensuring our programs are collaborative and culturally competent.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate degree from a recognized university in a relevant discipline.
- Three to five years program management experience with in a health or social services setting, with a proven track record of progressively responsible leadership.
- Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Expertise in quality improvement
- Experience managing teams within a unionized environment.
- Deep knowledge of health promotion and community development theory and practice particularly in a diverse community setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, decision-making, problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Understanding of data management concepts, with the ability to utilize data to drive evidence-based decision making and address health disparities.
- Proven ability in budget management.
- Demonstrated commitment to social change and health equity, with a track record of advocating for and implementing initiatives that address systemic barriers to healthcare access.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Proven experience in grant and proposal writing with a track record of securing funding.
- Clinical experience is an asset, particularly in settings that serve Black populations.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records tools an asset.
- Experience in the Davenport-Perth community is an asset, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities present in serving this area.

**Salary range**: $88,403 - $103,000 per annum, plus extended health benefits, including Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). This position is not part of the bargaining unit.
