**Position Title**: Coordinator, Student Equity and Inclusion - Spirituality and Wellness Centre
**Status**: 2-year Contract
**Hours**: 35/week
**Faculty/Department**: Student Success and Engagement
**Campus/Location**: North Campus
**Salary**: Min $33.05 - Max $38.37
**What you will do**:
The Coordinator, Student Equity and Inclusion - Spirituality and Wellness Centre (SWC), reporting to the Associate Director, Student Life and Wellness, works collaboratively with campus partners to develop and implement student centric programs and activities in the SWC and the prayer rooms. The incumbent will address issues and support students by utilizing knowledge, sensitivity and understanding of the personal, intersectional needs, concerns and interests of equity deserving groups. The Coordinator will focus on building student community through programming, curriculum creation and engagement with the goal of creating a sense of belonging within the larger Humber environment, promoting visibility, and providing supports. The Coordinator will be responsible for the operation of student focused space, creating a safer space and a centre for student programming. Operation includes hiring, training, scheduling, delegating tasks, and overseeing a team of student volunteers.
The Coordinator is responsible for risk management on behalf of the college, navigating complex issues of discrimination, acceptance, prejudice, etc. involving equity deserving students and issues, which are unique to this role. The acumen to navigate these issues is public facing as they are Human Rights issues.
The Coordinator will be responsible for collecting data on student needs to develop, market and present an innovative roster and calendar of programs and events for the community. Programming will be rooted in student development theory, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed frameworks with an intersectional approach. The coordinator will remain current on leading practice to provide innovative and relevant programming, services, and initiative. The coordinator will be responsible for collecting data to determine the effectiveness of programming and to communicate those findings to students and to the Humber executive.
**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**:Minimum 3-year Diploma/Degree
**Skills and Experience**:
- Demonstrated involvement in diversity and inclusion activities, and experience working in post-secondary environments. Experience working independently.
- Experience problem-solving with diverse groups and supporting the removal of barriers to services for equity deserving communities. Risk Management.
- Project management, volunteer leadership and event management.
- Understanding and experience using equity and inclusion, student development and adult learning theory. Developing programming based in theory.
- Marketing and Communication experience.
- Presentation and communicating to audiences and groups of various sizes and make up.
- Creating, developing workshops, events, training.
- Assessment and analysis techniques for programmatic impact.
- Experience dealing with students who have been discriminated against, have or are enduring trauma or critical incidents.
- Budgeting knowledge and experience.
