**What responsibilities will you have in this role?**

Reporting to the Manager, Industry Liaison and Business Development, the Research Partnerships Coordinator (Coordinator) supports the Business Development (BD) team by coordinating meetings and events both internally and externally to the College. The coordinator Promotes awareness of College applied research expertise and capacity among local business and industry, related organizations and economic development agencies by providing administrative support to the Manager, Industry Liaison and Business Development and the broader BD team.

**Business Development Team Coordination**
- Coordinate meetings and events to facilitate industry and community engagement in research programs.
Liaise with relevant GBC departments to encourage engagement in research activities, with/in support of the BD managers and research facilitators.
- Assist with data collection, management, and analysis of partnership metrics.
Coordinate the participation of external partners in preparing grant proposals and securing the appropriate partnership agreements.
- Promotes awareness of college applied research expertise and capacity among local business and industry, related organizations, and economic development agencies by providing administrative support to the Manager, Industry Liaison and Business Development
- Assist with operationalizing the BD team communications strategy by adding to and curating the database of stakeholders in the different research exchanges

**Research Projects Support**
- Assists with the development of new research projects, including responding to industry inquiries and requests, qualifying research opportunities.
- Liaises with faculty, staff, internal/external partners, and funders regarding research opportunities. Develops proposal concepts for discussion.
- Identifies and coordinates project stakeholders and project team members, ensuring that required resources are available and that required support is provided.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**What qualifications do you need for this role?**
- Three-year diploma or degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Office Administration, Business Administration, General Arts or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience working in a business development or sales environment.
- Strong interpersonal/human relations skills, communication skills and presentation skills.
- Experience working independently within a team environment; prioritizing, organizing and problem-solving own work.
- Experience working with a variety of clients (both internal and external to the college) at all levels of seniority.
- Strong MS office and software skills.
- Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience, and styles.
- Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decision-making processes.
