Overview of the Role

As IT Manager, PMO - Training at Saputo, you are passionate about developing learning strategies and delivering engaging and relevant learning experiences that demonstrate leading practices and consider adult learning principles and instructional design models. You have a proven track record of successfully managing all stages of the learning lifecycle, including training needs analysis, curriculum design, content development, delivery support, user adoption measurement and materials maintenance.

You understand the nature of large scale, complex ERP implementations and smaller IT initiatives, where your strong relationships with the project team and the business are part of the recipe for delivering successful outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You lead your team using coaching and collaboration to model and enable mutual respect, open communications, and high performance. As a lifelong learner, you maintain expert-level skill in current courseware authoring and learning solution tools and participate in professional development courses and conferences annually. Reporting to the IT Director, PMO - Change Management & Communications, you understand that training is an essential ingredient in an integrated change management approach. Our change management team oversees the execution of the change management strategy for IT projects impacting business processes globally, with a user base operating in Australia, Argentina, USA, Canada and the United Kingdom.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

Working with the change management and project teams, the IT PMO Training Manager is accountable for:

- Developing project training strategies in collaboration with the change management team, workstream and functional leads, and divisional business change and training leads. Training strategies consider adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, as well as current and emerging technologies, trends and innovation in learning
- Building and maintaining IT project training curriculum with input from relevant teams, determines appropriate learning paths, and plans for learning design, development, and delivery; designing learning experiences; identifying requirements for internal and external resources, development tools, and licenses
- Coordinating and managing the design, development, review and maintenance of training materials for a variety of technologies and purposes using project management best practices. Continually evaluating and adjusting plans and materials to align with solution build, project objectives and intended business benefits and value. Materials development must incorporate French and/or Spanish translation activities, where applicable, and approvals according to PMO and project governance
- Acting as the point of contact for training requests, feedback, and suggestions. Escalating risks/ issues and providing mitigation options in a timely manner
- Developing, managing, and monitoring end-user training delivery, including training curriculum, delivery plan, and training schedule. On some projects, trainee certification programs may be required, in which case the training manager develops the certification program and oversees its successful implementation
- Overseeing training logistics, including instructor identification and preparation, learner registration and management, physical and/or virtual training space reservation and preparation, training environment management (availability, access and data population), and availability/accessibility of training materials
- Using leading practices to establish and monitor materials quality standards in collaboration with the Director and IT leadership. Sets the guidelines for SAP Enable Now setup and use in creating work instructions
- Establishing learning metrics, tracks, and provides timely reporting on training deliverables progress status, participation rates, learning evaluation results, and sustainment competency/performance.
