**Summary**

In this role the person will lead the Program Management Office (PMO) and the Program and Project Managers. The PMO operates in a matrix environment and is responsible for the planning and execution projects concerned with the development of safety-critical, real-time embedded systems and mine operations management systems. The projects are diverse in terms of technologies and involve several engineering disciplines.

The Lead PMO oversees product development projects to ensure they comply with the product requirements, timelines, and budget. He/she works closely with the Head of Product Development & Programs Delivery, the Engineering team, the New Product Management team, the sales areas sales team, and the senior management team. As such, this person is responsible to coordinate activities across several departments and increase overall project management maturity.

**Your responsibilities**
- Leading team members of the PMO.
- Managing major strategic programs.
- Working closely with Product Management, System Engineering and the Sales Areas teams to clarify priorities & roadmap items.
- Implementing the foundations for a strong PMO, including project management practices, and governance.
- Preparing and leading program reviews with senior management and other stakeholders.
- Enhancing the estimating process across the teams.
- Analyzing project data (activity dependencies, durations, resource allocation, budget, etc.) and presenting recommendations to mitigate risk and optimize opportunities for success.
- Coordinating commercial agreements for suppliers and managing subcontractors as necessary.
- Developing a culture of excellence within the team.
- Maintaining an organizational climate conducive to maximizing employee potential, productivity and retention within Newtrax product line teams.
- Setting an example of teamwork and leadership by working cross-functionally to develop strategies, aligning goals and establishing priorities.
- Planning and managing departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Participating in strategic and operational governance processes of the Company as a member of the senior management team.
- Recruiting, evaluating, giving feedback, recognizing, motivating, retaining, and providing career development to his/her department’s staff.
- Developing and communicating objectives for the team and its members and making sure they are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Leading the development of Integrated Master Plans for our major programs.
- Assisting the Head of Product Development & Programs Delivery in instilling a culture of rigorous project management and governance.
- Leading change initiatives and driving continuous improvement.

**Your talent**
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field.
- PMP diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- More than 15 years in a similar role.
- Knowledge of the new product introduction development.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, safety regulations, safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Good knowledge of budgeting and financial planning principles.
- Excellent influencing and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and management of priorities.
