**Team & Job Overview**
The Partnerships team is accountable for relationship management, and development of strategy and tactical plans to drive results by collaborating with partners, such as, domestic & international financial institutions, private-equity firms, government agencies & crowns, and associations. The team develops and executes corporate partnership strategies, and channel tactics to maximize the business potential for targeted organizations in Canada. This is done through ongoing relationship management at the corporate level and identifying partner enablement needs within the partnerships group to support the growth of EDC products and services delivered with and through our partners.

We are seeking an experienced and results-focused leader, who will lead a dynamic team working at both the strategic and operational levels to identify, manage and execute opportunities to help Canadian companies grow internationally in collaboration with our partnership trade ecosystem.

**Role Summary**
- Leads, coordinates, supports, and promotes the work of a team of experienced and talented business development and enterprise-level relationship managers that are located across Canada
- Builds a Partnership strategy and approach that enables EDC’s medium/long-term corporate plan and vision
- Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with partners overseen by the team
- Closely collaborates across the wider Partnership group and with internal stakeholders to coordinate prioritization of initiatives, execute tactical plans to drive results, and help build capabilities to improve partner experience
- Ability to be the champion of the team and partnership group, and lead the team through change
- Reports to RVP, Partnerships

**Key Responsibilities**
- Direction and accountability for team’s growth and business performance
- Provides leadership to a dedicated team of experienced and talented business development and enterprise-level relationship managers to develop and execute corporate strategies to promote and integrate EDC solutions with new/existing partners to better support Canadian companies
- Supports team members in engaging and influencing collaboration with partners and across business units and corporate support groups
- Motivates the team to:

- deeply understanding the partner, goals, shifts in priorities and mandate
- continually gather and share market intelligence across various sectors through external interactions to develop opportunities and services/products customized to partners needs
- contribute to and advances customer-centric solutions through collaboration with EDC product and innovation teams
- Is accountable to measure progress and performance on set team and partner objectives and KPIs
- Continuous improvement of the team’s management processes and practices, and recommends investments to support its mandate
- Accountable for developing and implementing a business plan that ensure market/sector coverage, allocation of appropriate resources, and the establishment of business targets and budgets
- Facilitates the performance and skill/career development of team members to ensure the team has adequate support, capacity, and capability to address the needs of the organization

**Screening Criteria**
- A minimum of 10 years of business development experience in senior Commercial Banking, Trade Finance role and/or financial services
- Advanced knowledge of best practices in relationship management
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance or in a related field
- Bilingual in both official languages (English and French)
