As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will assist our Chaplains, activity and recreation team members by coordinator volunteer work placement designed to meet the resident's individual needs and abilities. **About The Role**

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Administration, or Adult Education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of two years experience in a volunteer administration role or related experience.
- Eligibility for membership in the Administrators of Volunteer Resources - British Columbia (AVRBC) or Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC)
- Personal transportation
- Commitment to signing and adhering to the Statement of Faith of Baptist Housing
- Ability to model and provide Christian leadership consistent with Baptist Housing's Christian values and principles.
- Willingness and ability to respond to questions and inquiries about Christian beliefs, lifestyles and the importance of the example of Jesus Christ in Christian ministry and leadership.
- Capability to provide one-on-one spiritual care for residents and team members, as may be requested or required
- Willingness to lead and participate in Christian worship, including leading prayer, offering devotionals, and participating in the Prayer Link, as required at meetings of the Spiritual Care Teams and other team meetings

As the Volunteer Coordinator, you possess exceptional organizational and time management skills, efficiently handling tasks, assessing priorities, and making clear decisions in a timely manner. Your adaptability shines as you navigate changing priorities, generating effective solutions and recommendations. By collaborating seamlessly with others, you work cooperatively to set and achieve organizational goals, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining good physical and mental health for goal attainment. You convey a deep understanding of the physical, psychological, and social needs of the elderly. You exhibit empathy, compassion, and understanding towards the unique needs of residents, showing proficiency in communication through strong oral and written skills. As a skilled communicator, you understand the importance of effective documentation, database management, newsletters, and media presentations. Your exceptional interpersonal skills contribute to fostering and maintaining positive relationships with residents, team members, volunteers, families and partners. With a great sense of humour, you actively serve and respond positively to the needs of residents, enhancing the overall image and reputation of the organization. Your dedication to service orientation and collaborate relationships make you an invaluable asset to the team.

**Compensation & Benefits**

Your total compensation includes a wage of $28.04, a comprehensive benefits package, four weeks' vacation, RRSP matching at 7%, and support for professional development.
