ABB Smart Buildings digitally transforms commercial, industrial and residential buildings for the highest comfort, efficiency, safety and security - enhancing quality of life in buildings of the future through safe, smart and sustainable electrification solutions, services and products. Reporting to the director of operations, Emergency Lighting, you will be responsible for promoting health, safety and respect for the workplace environment (HSE) in order to create a healthy and safe working environment for all employees, suppliers, customers, and visitors. You will also have the role of leading the maintenance team to ensure the proper functioning of operations and the reliability of the machines. The incumbent will support the company in the implementation of then prevention elements necessary for the smooth running of an HSE and maintenance management system. He will also ensure that all the applicable laws and standards are complied with. As a member of the management committee, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to your peers, plant managers, and internal customers, in addition to serving as a catalyst to promote and maintain a strong HSE culture where collective success requires the commitment and involvement of everyone to reduce risks to a minimum.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Establish a clear vision and work with the management team to implement strategic prevention programs and plans that will contribute to a culture of excellence in HSE and maintenance.
- Ensure the updating, monitoring, and maintenance of critical performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure the implementation of initiatives to increase performance at the HSE and maintenance level.
- Exercise a “coach” and advisory role in HSE management.
- Contribute to the deployment and implementation of various HSE programs and procedures (ergonomics, lockout, electrical safety, planned inspections and audits, etc.) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement activities to raise employee awareness and increase their involvement and promote the adoption of safe behaviors.
- Ensure the maintenance of the HSE management system (ISO14001 & ISO45001) and participate in internal and external audits (ISO45001 and ISO14001, government agencies and insurance partners, as needed).

**Your background**:
- University degree in environment, ergonomics and/or any relevant certification, diploma, or experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in personnel management.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable HSE laws, regulations, and standards.
- Good knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001 standards, guidelines, and specifications.
- Knowledge of project management.
- Notions of preventive maintenance.
- ISO45001 and ISO14001 auditor certification, an asset.
- Knowledge of CMMS software, an asset.
- Aptitudes in communications, and mandatory bilingualism, French and English.
