**Job Summary**:

**Education**:

- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
- Courses in payroll an asset
- Post-secondary certificate in Adult Learning is preferred

**Knowledge**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role with oversight of union and non-union employees.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a multi-union environment.
- Senior level experience in a scheduling or payroll environment.
- Knowledge in Adult Learning principles an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency with databases including Kronos, PeopleSoft and attendance technologies.
- Advanced knowledge in Excel

**Responsibilities**:
**_ Responsible for overseeing LTC Scheduling, by driving a high level of accuracy and customer service and managing the operations of the central scheduling team. Ensures quality of work, resolves problems, and ensures assigned work and outcomes are achieved. (40% of time)._**:

- Oversees time and attendance scheduling and shift replacements for over 1200 unionized staff in Seniors Services. Collaborates with stakeholders and partners such as managers, human resources and the union to ensure compliance under the Collective Agreement, Employment Standards Act and Corporate Policies. Consults in matters of practice implications and interpretations of agreements and as implemented in the 8 Long Term Care homes and Seniors Community Programs.
- Provides workflow and processes to determine best methods and procedures to be used, resolving problems and complaints and ensuring results are achieved.
- Provide strategic leadership in overseeing LTC scheduling operations

**_Ensures that all business processes are in compliance with the Collective Agreement, Employment Standards Act, Human Resources, policies and procedures, and corporate direction. (35% of time)_**:

- Responsible for promoting and developing business improvement recommendations on behalf of the Scheduling Services, managing systems level operational/process improvement projects with a focus on best practices, solution generation, strengthening internal controls and processes, eliminating bureaucratic barriers, improving operational efficiencies, increasing user satisfaction and improving cost efficiencies.
