MacEwan University is seeking Application Analysts for 2 full-time continuing opportunities with the Information Technology Services department.

Key responsibilities include:

- Implementing and maintaining feedback mechanisms and performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of deployed solutions over time. Iterating on the solution based on user feedback, emerging requirements, and the changing technology landscape to ensure ongoing relevance and value delivery; and
- Assessing the training needs of end-users by identifying common issues and knowledge gaps; developing and maintaining comprehensive training and reference materials, including user guides, FAQs, step-by-step instructions and technical documentation.

**SKILLS**:
You will have:

- Familiarity with ITIL best practices and incident management processes, database concepts, theories and principles; experience writing in SQL;
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages for troubleshooting and automation;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with end-users, technical teams, and stakeholders at various levels;
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality service;
- Knowledge of programming languages would be considered an asset.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as an Application Analyst, technical Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience in a post-secondary or other public sector environment would be considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
