**Laboratory Manager Job Overview**

Inline Group Inc. has an immediate opportunity available for a highly skilled **Laboratory Manager** for our Edmonton Lab. The Laboratory Manager oversees all aspects of lab operations, including audits, quality, and safety. In addition, this position provides technical support to our Geotechnical Group and project sites throughout Canada. **Key Accountabilities**:
**Laboratory Management**
- Manage staff and resources to perform laboratory testing on aggregates, concrete, soils, and asphalt
- Technical contact for projects and clients
- Maintain laboratory CCIL standards and audit compliance
- Perform QC reviews of laboratory staff and test results
- Ensure adherence to best practices
- Compile and review final reports
- Oversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
- Mentorship of new and junior employees
- Provide consulting services to our clients
- Responsible for efficient, lean laboratory operation, including scheduling
- Actively participate in Inline ISO 9001 quality program

**Skills and Experience**:

- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Degree in Civil engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction-related material testing
- CCIL Certified in Concrete, Aggregates, and Asphalt will be an asset
- Supervising/managing a lab facility will be an asset
- Minimum of a C.E.T designation required. P.Eng. designation will be considered an asset
- Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external entities
- Must have a safety-focused inclination
