Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Benefits Analyst to join our team. As a Benefits Analyst, you will provide support to our group benefits consultant to manage or block of business. You will be responsible for the financial reporting and day to day service aspects of our client relationships. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of benefits landscape. **Duties**:
- Perform annual renewal analysis and negotiations with carriers; prepare client reports and presentations
- Complete experience reporting, budget projections and reviewing plan financial performance
- Contribute to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability and special risk benefits for clients.
- Gather data and determine cost impact for plan design changes
- Conduct marketings; including preparing and submitting specifications, analysis, cost comparisons and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing report
- Assist with carrier / product implementations
- Provide day to day support for client inquiries and service escalation with insurance carriers
- Review benefit booklets and contracts for accuracy
- Build relationships with clients, carriers, and internal, cross-functional teams
You will need:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in group benefits
- Knowledge of Canadian benefits industry and group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing demands in order to meet client and company needs
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sensitivity to confidential information

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
