A Day in the Life
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be passionate about leading your department to success. As an Assistant Sales Manager, you must be self-motivated, high energy, dynamic, and results-oriented with a proven track record of production, profitability, and excellence in customer service. It is not enough to be successful in your own position; you must be able to foster success throughout the entire team.
- Customer satisfaction, retention, and the profitability of the sales department.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the potential market, established performance standards, and an acute sense of the profitability potential of each department.
- Keeping abreast of competitor products and the overall automotive market in Canada.
- Maintaining a high degree of accuracy, sound business judgment, and attention to detail.
- Identifying and resolving issues effectively and efficiently.
- The successful incumbent must be an experienced, seasoned professional with extensive experience in pre-owned sales, contributing not only to their own success but also fostering success throughout the team.
What we look for
- Previous management experience in an automotive dealership is an asset but not required.
- 5-years’ related, Sales and Finance experience.
- Proficient in vehicle sales software such as CDK, One-Eighty, DealerTrack, DealerMine and/or DealerSocket.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, sound business judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Knowledge of rules surrounding confidentiality, information governance and data protection.
- Excellent organizational and realistic time management skills.
- Clear, concise and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Driver’s license in good standing and clean driver’s abstract required.
