**Position Title**: Campus Well-being Strategist

**Status**: Full Time Support

**Hours**: 35 hours/week
- Primarily in-person (8:30 am to 4:30pm, 4 days/week) with an evening shift (10:30am to 6:30pm 1 day/week)
- Opportunity to explore a compressed work week

**Department**: Student Wellness and Equitable Learning Department - Wellness Education and Programs Unit

**Campus/Location**: Mainly North with occasional visits to the Lakeshore Campus and International Graduate School.

**Salary**: (Pay Band J) Start $42.56 - Max $49.34

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Manager, Wellness Education and Programs, the Campus Well-being Strategist operationalizes student-facing aspects of the institutional Wellbeing Strategy in collaboration with Peoples and Culture (P&C) who oversee objectives related to staff and faculty well-being. The incumbent is responsible for the design, implementation, and assessment of Humber's well-being strategy, fostering a healthy and supportive environment for learners. In this role, the individual supports institutional-wide planning efforts by collaborating with various departments to coordinate, elevate, and celebrate learner focused well-being initiatives in alignment with Humber’s Community Well-being Strategy.

This role will work across the campus community to deepen understanding and address well-being priorities at a pan institutional-level. Providing leadership and expertise, this role will Chair the Well-being Steering Committee, coordinate and support the facilitation of the Well-being working groups, partner and collaborate with (P&C) to ensure alignment of strategy reporting and assessment and participate in and support various campus committees by providing a well-being lens. The role involves staying current with best practices in health promotion within post-secondary settings, working to secure funding for initiatives, facilitating the identification of clear metrics and success indicators that support continuous evaluation and improvement of well-being initiatives within the strategy, providing expert guidance to enhance program reach and sustainability, and effectively communicating the link between well-being and learner persistence and success. A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is essential to ensure initiatives are accessible and culturally responsive, contributing to a positive and thriving campus culture.

Build campus capacity for a holistic approach to student mental health
- Lead the design, evolution, implementation, and assessment of all student focused aspects of Humber’s Community Well-being Strategy which is grounded in our commitment to the Okanagan charter to embed well-being into all aspects of campus operations.
- Act as a resource to support student facing units across the institution in developing and scaling evidence-based well-being initiatives and programs in alignment with the pillars and objectives set out within the Community Well-being Strategy.
- Provide guidance and consultation to Humber Community members to effectively weave the Well-being Strategy and its key objectives into unit and program planning and design.
- Engage stakeholders, including community supports and providers in active dialogue that facilitates understanding of stakeholder needs, goals and limitations.
- Ensure learner voices are centered through the collaboration with student associations, student unions and student groups in the development and operationalization of the institution’s well-being strategy.
- Lead and facilitate various strategic and operational meetings, including those with executive sponsors (e.g., VP SIP, VP, P&C), the Well-being Steering Committee, and the Well-being Strategy Working Groups. Ensure effective knowledge sharing, alignment on

priorities, and continuous improvement in well-being initiatives.
- Work collectively with other institutional groups, communities of practice and committees to develop and implement strategic action plans in support of well-being at the individual, interpersonal, institutional and community level.
