ASI Group Ltd. is looking for a **Human Resources** **Generalist** to support several locations within Canada and the United States. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, has excellent problem-solving skills and can work alongside the corporate and operations team with a high level of proficiency and professionalism. The HR Generalist will be someone who can appreciate the unique skillsets embodied by the staff and focus their efforts on successful employee engagement.

The HR Generalist is an on-site role based out of the corporate office in Stoney Creek, ON. The HRG will support all HR activities and be an integral part in ensuring that ASI’s staffing needs are successful in supporting current business activities. The primary focus of this role will be concentrated initially on recruitment and staffing to support the current growth phase occurring at ASI.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the management team to plan for upcoming staffing needs
- Initiate and execute recruitment campaigns that will successfully fill vacancies including many niche positions that may be challenging to fill
- Completes all HR administrative duties including but not limited to headcount reporting, employment confirmations, onboarding procedures, conducting exit interviews and initiating offboarding
- Prepares employment contracts and other documents with a high level of accuracy
- Supports the management team with performance management, disciplinary action; training and development
- Works closely with the QHSE team in fostering a safe and healthy work culture; provides documentation for third parties to ensure that ASI can continue to meet client commitments
- Collaborates closely with the payroll team with the processing of wage and position changes
- Prepares policies and procedures as needed
- Assists staff in obtaining foreign work permits as needed (e.g. TN Visas)

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education with a specialization in Human Resources
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a related HR Generalist role
- Holds a minimum of a CHRP designation or near completion
- A solid understanding of all relevant employment legislation
- Exceptional English writing and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document comprehensive notes and records
- Experience preparing graphs and charts and excellent quality documents
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Able to prioritize work to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office 365, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with SharePoint considered an asset.
- Holds and maintains a valid driver’s license and a Canadian passport
- Familiarity with US payroll and benefits administration considered an asset

Hours of Work and Travel Expectations
- Scheduled hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday
- Quarterly travel to sites in Orchard Park, NY and Sarnia, ON

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
