**About the Faculty Event Coordinator Role**:
This position provides excellence in front line event support and planning in the Faculty of Media, Creative Arts, and Design. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

- Assists and collaborates with the administrative team, professors and other stakeholders to develop events and experiences to showcase and/or enhance the Humber experience, including workshops, receptions, dinners and special events, and provides support for community events, campus tours, tradeshows, conferences and sponsorships.
- Co-ordinates and executes events, including, but not limited to, planning, logistics, registration, tracking, and post-event reporting.
- Facilitates volunteer opportunities and work study positions for Humber students as well as supporting student internships.
- Supports the Faculty ITS team to assess and deploy AV and other equipment necessary for the successful execution of events.
- Supports the Marketing & Communications Manager in the drafting and deployment of various event-themed print, electronic and promotional materials.

This position often has evening and weekend hours associated with it. The incumbent must be able to work flex hours.

**Education**
- 3-year diploma/degree or equivalent in Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, or Event Management preferred.

**Experience/Skils**

The incumbent must have a minimum of 3 years related experience (Note: Work Integrated Learning will be considered) and should demonstrate the following:

- Highly developed event and project management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in a busy office environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience working with students and student recruitment
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite
