**About**:
CFAS operates as a national not-for-profit recognized Canadian multidisciplinary authority in reproductive science and medicine. The objectives of the organization are “To promote study, research, education and continuing professional development in the field of, fertility, andrology and assisted reproduction technology; to disseminate information and knowledge regarding, fertility, andrology and assisted reproduction technology; to promote national standards and ethical rules in assisted reproduction.”

**Communications**:
The individual responsible for Communications Coordinator reports to the Executive Director. The incumbent provides a broad range of event logistics and provides communications and public relations support to various CFAS sections to strategically position the Society as the trusted multidisciplinary authority for fertility in Canada.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Develops and implements strategic communications plans aligned with the Society’s goals to improve CFAS’ profile; additionally, furthers the strategic objectives of the Society and establishes the Society as a recognized source for information pertaining to Assisted Reproduction in Canada
- Develops and disseminates cogent and coherent messages to various audiences.
- Works in conjunction with various segments of the Society to further communications goals (SIGs, Committees, etc).
- Develop strategies and activities to identify and engage target audiences.
- Liaises and communicates with all stakeholders, including CFAS members, ART community, the public, governments, the media, industry, academia, etc. to elevate the Society’s reputation and standing.
- Responsible for liaising and managing the Society’s membership database.
- Identify and pursue collaborations with other organizations on communications efforts.
- Develop and manage processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of communications.
- Attend the Society’s Annual Meeting and other required events.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
- Develop data collection instruments; collect data from surveys, interviews, observations, and document review; and clean, structure and analyze data.
- Summarize research findings in writing and in data visualizations that are clear and relevant.
- Contribute to development of reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
- Assist with project scheduling and coordination tasks.
- Event logistics and negotiations when necessary
- Contribute to proposal development.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Bachelor and/or experience in a relevant field - minimum two (2) years experience
- Bilingual
- Demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate in writing and verbally.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including high proficiency in the Microsoft Office
- Expertise in writing, editing, and preparing reports, correspondence, and newsletters.
- Able to analyze information, anticipate problems, create, and evaluate alternative solutions and make appropriate decisions/recommendations.
- Ability to network and build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail oriented and have the skills to develop influential relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders (members, ART community, governments, press, public, etc.)
- Possess the ability to gain and maintain the respect of diverse groups of clients (members, public, govt, media, industry, etc).
- Have a strong sense of ownership, cooperation with various individuals and willingness to pitch in and do what it takes to accomplish organizational goals, both large and small.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with mínimal supervision.

**Salary**: $32,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
