**Job Title: Manager, Market & Communications**
**Division: Administration**
**Reports: Executive Vice President and Vice President Clinical Support**
**Nature and Scope**:
Reporting to both the EVP Clinical Support and Performance and the Vice President, LMP, JDMI and Ambulatory, the Manager, Marketing & Communications is responsible for giving day-to-day direction to support the implementation of strategic communication plans that support and promote the EVP portfolio internal and external projects and initiatives.
**Responsibilities**:
Communications Strategy & Brand Awareness:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the annual marketing and communications plan and calendar for the Portfolio.
- Lead effective marketing and communications responses to portfolio business needs including branding, digital web, collateral material development and community engagement
- Ensure consistency of brand, voice and messaging across the Portfolio needs.
- Share current marketing and communications best practices as an advisor throughout the Portfolio
- Work closely with leaders and teams from across the Portfolio to identify, develop and distribute key messages and build function specific content for internal and external audiences
- Develop and implement a deliberate external relations plan encompassing traditional and social media, stakeholder engagement
- Supervise the Marketing and Communications department to ensure deadlines and deliverables are on time and on budget
- Assist with the development and implementation of special events
- Identify and implement communications measurement systems and monitor and report the ROI for various strategies in a spirit of continuous improvement
- Foster a collaborative team environment
- Support the execution of special events and other initiatives [government announcements, donor recognition, community engagement et al.]as part of the Marketing & Communications Team
- Regularly monitor and track a variety of communications metrics and indicators to evaluate overall communication performance
Enterprise Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
- Oversee development and manage the redevelopment web and digital presence, including website, mobile apps, social media and other digital marketing tools to coordinate with program-specific campaigns, promotions and initiatives
- Manage external partners/vendors to ensure alignment with project expectations
- Fluency in web analytics tools, social media marketing and monitoring platforms (Hootsuite, Online Media Monitoring etc)
Media Relations
- Work collaboratively with the Communications Team and operational partners on new and relevant and media relations.
Story-Telling & Publications
- Identify and translating human interest stories
- Working closely with Financial Development teams and Operations Leadership to assess communication goals and objectives and deliver strong communication plans to meet those goals and objectives.
- Coordinate design and production of key digital, print and promotional publications
- Other duties as required
Core Competencies:

Education and Training Requirements:
- 5-10 Years experience in communications, public relations or marketing
- Combined undergraduate degree and postgraduate studies in communications/public relations or equivalent.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in the following areas: writing/editing content, digital engagement, media relations, special events and coordination of advertising and publications.
- Advanced writing and editing skills applied to communication vehicles that deliver key messages to general and also highly targeted audiences.
- Proven creative writing skills; the ability to reconstruct content in multiple formats
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge working with various modes of current and emerging media and complementary computer skills
- Superior project management skills, including relationship management
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Critical thinking with the ability to multi-task effectively
- Strong leadership skills; strong engagement and persuasion skills
- Ability to network, research and analyse issues
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines with a positive attitude
