A transportation company providing pupil transportation and charter services to School Boards, Independent Schools, Colleges, Universities plus other educational institutions and organizations requiring pupil and person transportation. We are Canada's largest family owned and operated bus company with over 1300 buses on the road each school day._

We are looking for an experienced **Corporate Controller **to join our team at Attridge Transportation. The position will be based out of our Halton Headquarters. (4150 Harvester Road, Burlington, ON)

As a member of the Attridge Transportation team the Corporate Controller is ultimately responsible for:

- Overseeing all accounting functions for the company and its operations
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and informative consolidated financial reporting for all internal and external purposes
- Streamlining accounting and financial operations, and;
- Providing leadership, guidance, and training to our accounting team to ensure a high level of performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Day-to-day supervision of accounting staff completing AR, AP and payroll functions
- Create and submit complex invoices to key customers
- Responsible for all aspects of the General Ledger, review all monthly journal entries and ensure all necessary documentation is to support journal entries and general ledger balances
- Ensure timely closing on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Manage Inter-company and related parties accounts reconciliation
- Liaison with corporate auditors for financial statement information and preparation
- Manage government remittance obligations
- Assist with annual budgets and forecasting
- Assist with preparation of creditor reporting requirements
- Comply with all government reporting requirements and filings
- Establish, monitor, and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Participate or lead projects with to improve business process as required
- Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans
- Report relevant team issues, incidents and achievements to the President and/or Vice President to ensure awareness of progress to plan, and identify areas/issues requiring resolution
- Participate in team activities, including actively participating in the Performance Development and Review program to ensure individual and team key targets are achieved.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
- University or college degree in Finance/Accounting or Business
- Supervisory experience
- Strong analytical, interpersonal skills as well as good ability communicate ideas and data, show initiative, and achieve results in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple files, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency/exposure to SAGE 300 is an important asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $74,000.00-$82,000.00 per year
