**University Advancement **is responsible for Western’s alumni relations and development activities, which enhance Western’s reputation as both an international academic leader and a good citizen in local, provincial, national and international constituencies. Comprised of three functional areas - Development, Alumni Relations and Advancement Operations
- and with both centralized and decentralized teams, University Advancement works with faculties and divisions across campus to strengthen and protect Western’s reputation for excellence in teaching, research and scholarship; support the best student experience; generate resources in support of institutional priorities; and engage alumni to strengthen the alumni network and build on their contributions to Western.

As outlined in Western’s Strategic Plan, Towards Western at 150, Western will be launching the most ambitious fundraising and alumni engagement campaign in the university’s history. The campaign will build institutional capacity with the goal of increasing annual fundraising to $100 million per year.

**About the Role**

The Campaign Director will drive strategy and be highly engaged in all aspects of the campaign. Working closely with the University Advancement senior leadership team, the role will provide project management of key campaign initiatives to ensure effective strategy development, execution, and momentum towards Western’s ambitious goals. The Campaign Director will provide leadership to ensure effective campaign communication and coordination across units and will ensure alignment of the campaign operating plan with senior leadership strategy. Working closely with, and serving as a main point of contact for, the campaign cabinet and internal campaign working groups, the role will provide operational support to ensure productive and coordinated campaign efforts. This position will provide leadership, project management and senior-level support on campaign strategies, projects and initiatives.
