Finance Analyst, Lean Value Generation

We are seeking a Material Cost Optimization Financial Analyst to help optimize material costs and contribute to our CO2P (Material Cost and Carbon Emissions Optimization Program). The Material Cost Optimization Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Lean Value Generation Program. As part of your role, you’ll be implicated in financial analysis, cost accounting, optimisation, and lean methodologies, and will work collaboratively to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
The Lean Value Generation team oversees the strategic development and implementation of initiatives to reduce material costs and carbon emissions.
**YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:
Conduct detailed analyses of material costs, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track material costs and the financial impact of cost optimization initiatives.
Collect, manage, and interpret financial data related to material costs, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that reduce material costs.
Support lean projects by providing financial insights and analysis, including cost-benefit analysis and value stream mapping.
Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior management and other stakeholders, clearly communicating material cost optimization strategies and results.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in financial analysis, cost accounting or a related role.
Familiarity with lean methodologies and principles.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., PowerBI, SAP, Powerpoint and Excel).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and presentation abilities to an executive level.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
