**Position**:Quality Assuracne Manager
**Location**:Brantford, Ontario
**Job Summary**
The purpose of the position is to be responsible for Quality Assurance in Pet Care North America. This includes verifying manufacturing/quality documents are accurate, reporting Quality Assurance summaries, creating/auditing Standard Work, preparing import/export documentation, handling customer complaints, and overseeing vendor quality assurance.

- Responsible for QA in all Pet Care manufacturing facilities in North America.
- Assists with the recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching of employees in Quality Assurance in North America, along with performance reviews as per company requirements.
- Ensure all Quality labs are run properly and maintain proper 5S through regular audits.
- Identify and execute training requirements for QA team. Work in collaboration with plant management to establish and execute staff training pertaining to operations, maintenance, logistics etc.
- Maintains, implements, and builds culture of health and safety rules/regulations as per company requirements.
- Maintain and improve the MTI Quality Management System where calibration, hold and release program, shipping, receiving, rework etc. are followed by the plants.
- Lead the creation of Standard Work and audit Standard Work throughout the plants.
- Meeting quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis of strategic plan and reviews; preparing and completing action plans implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; assisting with audits and recommending system improvements.
- Collaborates on R&D projects to provide guidance for product and system performance evaluations and support the system’s technical acceptance process.
- Develop and implement monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures for operational processes.
- Verify quality processes of established product specifications and quality attributes and support with the writing and developing of quality assurance procedures.
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validation.
- Communicate any issues, concerns and/or recommendations involving the quality of products to the management team.
- Investigate customer complaints and provide response in a timely manner ensuring case is closed and appropriate corrective actions and preventative measures are implemented - be a voice of the customer.
- Ensures correct data entry is completed by the team, reporting to senior management as required.
- Lead all regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits for all Pet Care North America plants.
- Take initiate in identifying gaps in the process/systems and work on solution with cross functional team at the plant.
- Leads in the daily use of Operational Excellence-related tools (e.g., Kaizens, SPC, etc.), 5S, Suggestions system etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering,
- 2 years of experience in a Quality leadership position managing personnel.
- Experience in process improvement, analyzing information, and strategic planning.
- Ability of work cross functionally with all departments in the plant
- Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, CFIA, SGS.
- Asset to have worked in fast paced manufacturing environment
- Respectful, exudes integrity and cooperative demeanor
- Self-starter, a motivator and willing to take initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, results-driven, thorough, and good time management skills.
- Proficient in use of Windows operating systems (e.g., file management.)
- Proficient use of Oracle, Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Process Control Centre software
