**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Community Mental Health and Addictions (CMHA), the Social Worker works as part of a multi-disciplinary team that primarily provides consultation, assessment and treatment for children and adolescents who have committed sexual offences. As part of the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA), the team has a dual function to provide direct clinical care to clients and families as well as build capacity through training and education with community partners.

**Hours of Work**:
Monday - Friday; 8:30-4:30 (37.5 hours per week). Some evening work wand flexibility may be required.

**Your Qualifications**:

- Masters Degree in Social Work required.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers required.
- Minimum two (2) years post masters
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal. clinical experience working in child and adolescent mental health services required.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification required (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employ) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the last 12 month required (or successful completion of a BLS Renewal Challenge certificate required).
- Demonstrated commitment to family-centred care required.
- Demonstrated experience in individual/family therapy required.
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of evidence based group interventions required.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and youth in a forensic service or setting an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of community based services and organizations.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Competencies in other languages an asset
