Edmonton Global is seeking an **Engagement & Research Specialist** to join our Strategic Partnerships team on a **full-time, one-year contract**.

Edmonton Global’s mandate is to attract foreign direct investment and transform and grow the economy of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region. The Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for shareholder and stakeholder relations and partnerships, thought leadership and strategic foresight, and government relations and advocacy work. We work closely with the CEO and Edmonton Global’s other teams, including Trade & Investment and Marketing & Communications.

**Role Description**

Reporting to the VP, Strategic Partnerships, the **Engagement & Research Specialist** will have diverse responsibilities, including:

- Playing a supporting role in the strategic development and execution of new initiatives and projects;
- Preparing briefing notes, meeting packages, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and other materials as the team requires;
- Attending meetings, taking notes, and conducting follow-ups as required,
- Fostering positive relationships with Edmonton Global’s shareholder municipalities and partner organizations;
- Supporting and providing coordination for events, regional tours, and roundtable engagements;
- Coordination with other departments to support collective outcomes;
- Research, documentation and development of programs, where appropriate
- Performing other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an office setting
- Post-secondary degree is preferred
- Experience in government relations would be beneficial
- Adept with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven track record of working with stakeholders, hitting goals, succeeding in a high performing team environment, and delivering on-time

**Additional Details**

This role is an **in-office position** located in downtown Edmonton at Suite 2205, 10020 100 St, Edmonton, AB. Work hours are 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Some in-province travel may be required. A valid driver's license is an asset.
