**Job Title**: Product Application Specialist II
**Location**:Brampton, ON (Hybrid)

**About the Role**:
Victaulic is searching for an Application Engineer to join our Application Engineering Team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your technical knowledge, communication skills and problem-solving skills to resolve complex problems.***

**Responsibilities**:

- Work to become a knowledgeable resource for Victaulic products and system solutions by:

- Learning and understanding Victaulic’s line of products including, but not limited to couplings, valves, fittings, catalog components and devices.
- Using the knowledge gained, develop solutions to a variety of complex situations that require independent judgment and ingenuity and a quick response.
- Utilize knowledge of commercial mechanical systems and/or fire protection systems
- Utilize knowledge of applicable codes and standards including ASME, AWWA, CSA, ASTM, and NFPA. Knowledge of UL and FM standards is an advantage.
- Provide technical and troubleshooting support for customers utilizing Victaulic products by:

- Provide technical support as necessary to customers visiting Victaulic
- Utilize technical knowledge and investigative skills to complete on-site product investigations and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate returned products to generate reports for customers detailing root cause analysis.
- Serve as an internal resource on industry market space, competitor products, and product issues.
- Identify training opportunities to improve Victaulic products, solutions, and education.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or other relevant technical experiences. 5+ years of industry experience required.
- Experience with problem solving in person or using electronic means (Teams, Facetime, etc.).
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (socket sets, screwdrivers, impact wrenches) and precision measurement tools (dial caliper).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
- Willingness to travel up to 30-40% of time domestically, possibility of international travel.
- Capable of lifting within OSHA approved safe lifting limits and climbing/working on ladders and scaffolds.
- Valid current driver's license with no restrictions to driving.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills, tact, and professional appearance required.
- Experience working with commercial mechanical and/or fire protection industry customers in promotional and troubleshooting activities preferred.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and manage your time effectively.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Experience preparing clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written technical materials. Can communicate effectively using electronic media as well as written and verbal forms.
- Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, codes, standards and regulatory requirements
- Customer service oriented.
- Experience working in a global cross-functional team environment and knowledge and /or experience working with groups with varied cultural backgrounds and learning styles is required.
- Fire Protection/Infrastructure experience preferred.

**Salary**: $95 - 105k
