**Summary**

**Job Duties**
- Preparation of financial statements and reports that meet all regulatory and accounting guidelines
- Preparation of quarterly and annual management discussion and analysis (MD&A)
- Perform technical calculations to support complex journal entries
- Participate in the year-end audit and preparation of audited financial statements
- Execute internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes, and procedures
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, certain accounting entries and account reconciliations
- Support new systems or project selections and implementation from a strategic finance and internal control perspective
- Preparation of required quarterly and annual filings
- Prepare and deliver in a timely and accurate manner, monthly financial reports.
- Support with preparation of annual consolidated financial statements.
- Key liaison with the external auditors to execute annual audits.
- Support operations accounting team in the preparation of the monthly analysis and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and tax laws including timely filing of assigned tax returns and other tax filings (e.g.: HST filing).
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
- Translate high-level, complex business requirements into functional reports and analytical tools, and assist senior level management with complex financial analysis and commentary.
- Complete account reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis as assigned.
- Review and approve certain corporate level AP coding of invoices.
- Participate and support the Company’s financial accounting/report automation and process improvement projects.
- Such other duties and functions as the Company may assigned from time to time.
- Must be available to work some holidays and weekends.

- Accredited accounting designation strongly preferred.
- +3 years of financial accounting experience, public accounting firm experience is a plus.
- Retail industry experience an asset.
- Knowledge of internal controls and best practices an asset.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to liaise with key stakeholders.
- In depth knowledge of financial reporting standards an asset.
- MS excel proficient - experience with pivots, VLOOKUP’s and excel formulae.
- Proficient and familiar with big data query extracted from ERP for reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP systems an asset.
