**About the role**

We’re looking for a** Total Loss Claims Representative**to join our growing team.

We're excited to offer this opportunity to current Customer Service Representatives, Claim Representative 1, and Claim Representative 2 team members and external applicants.

**What you'll do here**:

- Analyze and interpret insurance policy wordings and valuation reports to determine coverage and evaluate and negotiate total loss settlements
- Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with customers, lawyers and brokers to settle claims
- Ensure all cases are clearly documented and forms are analyzed and processed in a timely fashion
- Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to improve quality service and competitiveness

**What you bring to the table**:

- 1+ years of customer service experience in a claims department
- Auto claims handling is an asset.
- A college diploma or a university degree is an asset
- Working toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
- Have a strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and decision-making skills
- A critical thinker when it comes to approaching complex problems in time-sensitive situations and with mínimal supervision
- Are a skilled communicator, which allows you to foster favorable business relationships
- Have a keen ability to listen to others with the goal of gathering information, allowing you to efficiently evaluate a situation
- Go above and beyond for your customers and colleagues because you genuinely want to make a difference
