Kennel Assistant

We are looking for an Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting the Kennel Manager in daily duties to ensure that all the dogs are happy and healthy and also includes walking and playtimes and some grooming. Our new assistant will be able to follow instructions, take initiative and above all else - be an animal lover Please include a covering letter explaining in detail any experience you have with animals why you are considered an animal lover. **Responsibilities**:

- Monitor the behavior of dogs and ensure that their living area is clean.
- Feeding, cleaning, grooming, and sometimes giving medication
- Laundry
- Checking all dogs to make sure they are happy and healthy and engaging in playtime and / or walking the dogs

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Retention bonus

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
