**Technical Product Manager Job Description - **Wazo**

**Role**
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team.
The Technical Product Manager will also be responsible for successfully managing the external outsourcing of some parts of the product development.
This is a remote position, ideally located on the North American East Coast.
**What You'll Do?**
- Develop and manage product roadmaps, requirements, and specifications;
- Work to capture, develop and refine technically accurate requirements up to an advanced technical detail that can easily be understood and consumed by engineering team;
- Contribute to reducing the time spent by the engineering team on understanding the product requirements and on the analysis phase by converting it into detailed technical requirements in the most useful format for the engineering team;
- Work with engineering team to specify accurate API requirements and recommend product architectures;
- Work with the technical writer to make sure our product documentation is technically accurate and complete;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product success;
- Ensure that products are delivered on time and within budget;
- Analyze market and technology trends and customer needs to identify new product opportunities;
- Work with the engineering team to ensure that products meet technical requirements;
- Work with the engineering team on accurately assessing the investment cost and required effort timeline for each specific development item and report it to the rest of the product management team for calculating realistic business cases and correct product planning;
- Collaborate with the rest of the product management team on driving product planning processes and delivering a successful product roadmap that maximizes the business impact for Wazo;
- Beside managing the technical aspects of the product development process, you will also endorse a more tactical Product Owner role, alongside other Product Owners, and work with cross-functional agile teams to execute the requirements set by the product management team and translate it into actionable tasks and ensure that the team delivers high-quality products to end-users within the agreed-upon time-to-market deadlines.
**What You'll Need to Succeed?**
- Be self-motivated with extreme customer focus and able to see the big picture when developing high quality solutions in a cross functional environment. You are willing to implement forward looking product development processes in close cooperation with the engineering team and with the rest of the product management team;
- A great positive, can-do attitude;
- A willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic organization, alongside product management and engineering teams.
**What Experience and Skills are Required?**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management in the Unified Communications, Telecom and UCaaS industry.
- Strong technical background with experience in software development, data science or engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Fluent in English. Speaking knowledge of French is a big plus.
