**Your Role**: You will pay a key role in clearing up a backlog of accounts receivables and ensuring that accounts remain current. This position is full-time in the office.
Responsibilities include all things related to collections, including
- Reduce accounts receivables
- Make and receive collections calls to assess and resolve early and late-stage accounts
- Assess and resolve collections-related issues, including investigating details and negotiating resolutions
- Once accounts are up-to-date, proactively monitor activity to ensure all assigned accounts remain current
- Escalate issues on a pro-active basis
- Develop professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and team members
**What You Bring**:
- 4+ years of collections experience, preferably in transportation or manufacturing
- Post-secondary education in finance or accounting
- Designation/certification through the Credit Institute of Canada is an asset
- Fully bilingual in French and English, both written and verbal, is preferred
- Ability to build and maintain positive, professional working relationships and strong rapport with colleagues and customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate resolutions.
