**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Act as a front line resource for all employee inquiries on employment policies, procedures, guidelines,
- employment legislation, and benefits.
- Create, maintain, and archive employee files and ERP records.
- Lead support role in the Human Resources Department in the development and execution of key projects as requested.
- By cooperatively working with the Safety Unit Officer, assist to ensure the Safety Committee, the WHMIS Safety training, First Aid training, and the Corporate Emergency Preparedness Plan are current.
- Prepare and distribute employee announcements and other communications from the Human Resources Department.
- Coordinate job-posting process, screen resumes, coordinate interview schedules, conduct reference checks and prepare employment contracts.
- Prepare new hire packages, coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation.
- With the exception of the job description for the position of 'HR Manager', the HR Manager has the authority to sign Job Descriptions to represent Viva's corporate opinion.
- Maintain employee and department filing system, HR forms, and supplies.

Verification of outside sanitation contractors.
- Participation in other tasks that may be assigned by the President & CEO.

**Preferred Qualifications and/or Experiences**:

- An appropriate level of university education in an applicable discipline of Human Resource, Business
- Administration or related field.
- At least five years Human Resource or Business Administration experience required.
- Displays a general understanding of the various HR related disciplines, to include, but not limited to, staffing, employee relations, benefits, compensation, and employee performance evaluation.

Has experience and knowledge attained within the pharmaceutical/nutraceutical industries or strong technical/regulatory operations.
