Varsity Communities Leasing Manager

The Leasing Manager is a crucial role of the Leasing Team. They are responsible for supporting, managing and guiding their team by helping to oversee day to day resident services and leasing operations. It will be the responsibility of the Leasing Manager to help the General Manager in coordinating, directing and planning everyday business operations, specifically in assisting existing and prospective residents. As the Leasing Manager, you will be responsible for helping to report to building ownership, manage leasing staff, organize training, certain administrative duties, and assisting on the front lines when necessary.
A Day In the Life
- Training and management of a team of Community Ambassador(s) and/or Leasing Agents.
- Lease and maintain 100% occupancy of the community through renewals, back filling month-to-month tenants, and signing new leases.
- Overseeing the creation of the annual Leasing and Marketing Plan.
- Assisting the General Manager in preparing the annual budget and rate plan for the community.
- Assist in planning, managing staff and leasing operations for building turnover (April/May and August/September).
- Responsible for updating the lease agreements and renewal forms annually.
- Maintain all social media presence at the property level; promoting events, creating blog posts, and maintaining engagement with our current
- Aid in maintaining the Leasing and Marketing areas of the budget to ensure community financial goals are being met.

- Responsible for responding to all online reviews.

- Maintain property and services by investigating and resolving resident inquiries, enforcing rules of occupancy, lease agreements, parking lease agreements, and coordinating
- Prepare and follow through with the monthly Accounts Receivable and N4
- Coordinate all lease reassignments and sublets with existing residents.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and
- Regularly update skills by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional

Skills & Requirements
- Experience within the Student Housing industry specifically is considered a strong asset.
- Minimum 3 years working in a customer service environment is required.
- Experiencing managing and leading a team is required.
- Familiarity with the Landlord and Tenant Board and Residential Tenancy Act is considered a strong asset.
