**Qualifications**
- Essential:

- Bachelor’s Degree + 5-7 years related experience or 10 years equivalent experience.
- Work experience in Human Resources and/or MCC, with knowledge of international settings and working with personnel issues/crisis deriving from diverse cultural settings.
- Experience in policy development and interpretation
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sensitivity with worker/employee relations and to use consultative and relationship building skills with diverse groups.
- Bilingual
- SalesForce experience, or equivalent experience with similar Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Successful police record check clearance

Preferred:

- Proficiency in French/Spanish
- Experience in developing or editing resources related to crisis care and/or spiritual care.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Contact/Relationships:
This position requires the individual to initiate or respond to extensive contact with workers/staff and MCC Representatives, MCC supervisors, leadership and executive directors in the MCC system. Must be able to educate, persuade and share information with the authority to influence decisions.
Supervision: No supervisory tasks
Complexity/Competencies: The person in this position needs to be competent in general Human Resource functions including employment law, employee relations, policy interpretation, and have a keen knowledge of available HR resources. This position requires extensive research and education in best practices, policy and solutions to meet the HR needs of Canada supervised managed programs. The incumbent will attend the Human Resources Policy Review Committee (HRPRC), represent HR in crisis management, security and equity working groups.
Independent Action: This person is a key team player and must be able to work well independently. The majority of the time is spent multitasking with frequent interruptions. It will be necessary for the incumbent to select the appropriate approach or solution whenever solving problems in the director’s absence. Must be self-motivated and well organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detail.
Initiative and Ingenuity:
Anticipate issues and events that may impact the work care. Takes initiative to address and respond to correspondence.
Communication/Interpersonal Skills:
The incumbent requires proven communication skills (i.e., active listening) to effectively work with international program and national staff on worker care and crisis management. Awareness of multiple time zones as well as various cultures around the world to communicate effectively is required.
Mental/Physical/Visual Demand:
Must be able to track high volume of details, manage frequent interruptions.
End Result: Serves multiple Canada managed program departments and directly impacts international workers and overseas national staff in worker care, crisis management and security concerns.
