**SCOPE**

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervise professional staff in the daily operations of the unit. Plan, schedule, train and direct the work of staff in accordance with the unit's goals and objectives. Ensure development of team and that deadlines, standards and production and administrative processes and deadlines are respected.
- In consultation with UCS directors ensure that UCS communications advisors and coordinators develop and maintain an effective working partnership.
- Coordinate requests, assign tasks, track progress, liaise with internal and external suppliers and generate tracking and measurement reports as required.
- Assess the requestors’ needs and target audience, budget and timeframe, and advise on best practices and approaches.
- Recruit and coordinate work with internal and external professional suppliers to ensure that projects result in a cost and time efficient manner. Process purchasing and invoicing paperwork in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain the visual branding guidelines for the University.
- Establish a list of appropriate templates and guidelines, and ensure that these are created, maintained, and made available to all members of the university community. Provide workshops and other support to the community to ensure awareness and adherence.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Director.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the primary responsibilities and four to seven years’ of work experience, with a minimum of two years’ experience managing staff.
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written English; good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written French.
- Solid knowledge and experience of branding best practices.
- Superior organizational and project management skills; solution-oriented with track record for meeting tight deadlines, providing proactive responses, and performing well under pressure (calm demeanor); ability to juggle competing and shifting priorities; ability to prioritize and plan effectively; ability to manage ambiguity.
- Knowledge of graphic design, advertising media platforms and videography.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and costings.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services; establishing and meeting quality standards for services and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and the principles of web design.
- Knowledge of In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Knowledge of project management principles and software.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with data analytics.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Skilled in diplomacy, patience, and political tact, and influencing without direct authority.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; developed sense of initiative and innovation.
- Ability to quickly grasp the scope of issues and the potential impacts on the organization.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and to changes to processes, practices, and priorities.
