- Onboarding across Canada, scheduling new hire travel, building and implementing training schedules, ordering and tracking needed materials, facilitating department transfers (DQ files, training certificates), answering phones.
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Responsible for planning and execution of logistics into the Edmonton training center (ground/air travel, hotel bookings, shuttle to training) on behalf of the hiring branch.
- Communication of logistics and “Day 1” activities directly with employees: Interacting directly with employees regarding onboarding and what happens up to the day they arrive at the training center.
- Book Drug & Alcohol tests
- Distribute, collect and submit new hire paperwork (tax forms, payroll) to ensure smooth onboarding of new hires and rehires from across Canada.
- Schedule online content for new hires (tracked by Training Coordinator)
- Responsible for logistics post-training for non-XP personnel to their destination(s).
- Accurate and timely completion of DQ & Light Duty driver setup & submission to TC (7 page document, TC policy sign-off, abstract consent & abstract summary) and information sharing upon approval (prior to leaving training).
- Partners with Training Coordinator to capture & upload training certifications to appropriate systems.
- Construct/complete/input documents for area manager/operations manager/field supervisor/field administrator
- Work with area manager, operations manager, field supervisor and/or field administrator in the daily management of orders/jobs/worksheets
- Assist the area manager/field administrator with administrative duties within the branch, receive and distribute mail, answer phones, P-card entry and reconciliation, etc.
- Assist with onboarding processes within the branch, assist with completion of new hire forms, data entry into WIN/Peoplesoft,
- Assist in organizing training/testing of operations staff
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
- 1+ years year payroll/billing experience preferred.
- 1+ years customer service experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Effective organizational and time management skills required.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
