**Junior Construction Project Coordinator**

**Responsibilities**
- Support the overall development of construction projects of a residential and commercial nature from design to development and from construction documentation to contract administration.
- Coordinating project documentation, which includes meeting minutes, job opening form, change orders / site instructions, owner's instructions, shop drawings and drawing log, progress claims, and field notices.
- Assisting the project team by taking initiatives to minimize and complete tasks and ensure accurate document control practices and procedures are followed.
- Assisting the Construction Manager in tendering process including scope of work and managing RFQ's and bid queries.
- Managing bids, issuing addendums, preparing bid summaries, and conducting bid interviews
- Supporting with the preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule.
- Working knowledge of building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports
- Work with Project Manager, processing project Shop Drawings and administrative paperwork
- Maintains construction work schedule on a weekly basis.
- Support construction activities throughout the project lifecycle including analyzing tender scope, specifications, and drawings.
- Support project teams through communication, coordination, and follow-up with trades and stakeholders.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports including financial and progress reports.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience of building construction of **Low Rise** & on **Multi Family Residential** projects with a developer, design-builder, general contractor, sub-contractor and/or an owner's representative is mandatory.
- Proven experience using Estimating, Take-Off and MS Project software to plan, track, and coordinate projects.
- Minimum 3 years of Canadian building experience.
- Post-Secondary education in Construction Management, Architecture or Diploma in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD a must.
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Proficiency with Ontario Building Systems and Ontario Building Code
- Extensive general trade and industry knowledge
- Fluency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans

**Experience**:

- Building Construction: 3 years (preferred)
