The Climate Change Division’s Adaptation Section helps communities, businesses and other levels of government understand and respond to the impacts of climate change on communities, the economy, ecosystems, and infrastructure through assessments, education, capacity building, planning, and partnerships.

**About Our Opportunity**:
**Qualifications and Experience**:
You must have completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., earth sciences, biology, international development studies, geography, planning, social work, etc.).

The following will be key for success within the position:

- Demonstrated experience conducting high quality literature reviews and synthesizing information clearly and succinctly
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of climate change impacts and/or intersectionality and equity
- Strong MS Office, and computer skills
- Strong writing skills, with demonstrated experience writing reports or papers
- Highly organized with good time management skills
- Independent and motivated worker

Experience within software platforms used in knowledge translation would be considered a definite asset.

Completed course work in climate change, equity-related studies, gender-based plus analysis, and intersectionality or professional experience working with racialized and/or marginalized communities will be considered an asset.

**Salary Information**:
Hourly

$24.48 - $33.92

**Working Conditions**:

- Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day.
- This position in Halifax.
