Over 80 physicians and specialists, alongside a broad roster of complementary health care disciplines, provide health and lifestyle management services on site and by video consult for individuals, families and organizations. Our team of 700+ staff see clients virtually and physically from our downtown Toronto and Oakville clinics.
The Role:
Our paid internship program gives students practical work experience, learning and development workshops, social outings, and an opportunity to meet with our CEO and executive team members.
The Accountabilities:
- Coordinate follow up care from the Dedicated Care appointments including follow up appointments, prescription renewals, results and referrals.
- Work with Dedicated care Physicians and Nurse Consultants in managing client care
- Assist with organization and tracking of medical reports and results
- Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service
- Other administrative duties as required
- Results Management including reporting normal results and distribution of results to Physicians and Nurse Consultants
- Read and interpret physician notes
- Answer Dedicated Care phone queue
The Requirements:
- Current student in 3rd or 4th year at a post-secondary institution
- Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Intermediate level in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Prior switchboard or reception experience is an asset
- Exceptional client service skills
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory results
This is an internship with full-time hours. The position will be remote with occasional requirements to come into the office for training and team meetings/events. This role is primarily scheduled during business hours Monday to Friday, between 7am-6pm.
