**Description**:
The Unit Manager for the Recipient Transplant Program performs an out of scope leadership role and reports directly to the Recipient Transplant Services Patient Care Manager. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the respective Transplant programs in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making department-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of Recipient Transplant Services. The Unit Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders who include patients, allied health team members, physicians, inpatient acute care teams, primary care physicians, and community stakeholders. Key Responsibilities include: Strategic Planning. Operational Leadership. Risk Management. Change Leadership.
